Scratch 1 (Beginner)

Option 1. Side Scroller

If you haven’t completed the Side Scroller project and all the add-ons you can work on finishing it today. You could also work on making it into a better game using your own ideas!

Scratch 2 (Intermediate & Advanced)

Put the final touches on your Scratch project for The Arcade

This is our final evening to wrap up and put the finishing touches on your game to submit to The Arcade exhibition. Make sure to share your project and get Bruno, Aidan or Nathalie to add it to The Arcade studio.

Option 1: Finish off your Asteroids game to submit to The Arcade

Put the finishing touches on your Asteroids game. Make sure it is SHARED and added to The Arcade studio.

Option 2: Finish off your of Pac-Man game to submit to The Arcade

Put the finishing touches on your Asteroids game. Make sure it is SHARED and added to The Arcade studio.

Option 3: Finish off your own game to submit to The Arcade

Put the finishing touches on a game that you have already created. Make sure it is SHARED and added to The Arcade studio.

Web Development (HTML, CSS & JavaScript)

Complete building your own website

Last week you started building your own multi-page website. In this session try to get it finished as much as possible. Try at least to complete the following:

  1. Make a Home Page – Don’t spend too long on content – focus on getting the basic structure in place (Header, navigation menu, main content area, footer)
  2. Make a working navigation menu that links to at least 3 different pages
  3. Copy the template from the home page to get the basic structure for the other pages of the website and add some unique content.
  4. Upload your website to your hosting space

Raspberry Pi (with Microcontrollers and other cool stuff)

A collaborative group exploring how computers can interact with the outside world through a range of sensors and controllers. Primarily we’ll be using the Raspberry Pi (http://raspberrypi.org) computer in conjunction with Arduinos (http://arduino.cc) and along the way we’ll learn about Python, C and C++ programming, digital and analogue electronics and about working together.
